Upload your chapter for the course AAR4903

You can now upload you chapter for the book(AAR4903) at inspera. We suggest you do this now, as you get to practice the process before you will hand in you projects on tuesday. Please write/call if you have any questions. 

Hand in 26.05.2020 and critics

You will hand in your projects within tuesday 14:00, 26.05.2020. 
The critics will start at wednesday 10:15, 27.05.2020. 

You will each be given a total of 40 minutes for presentation and feedback. 

You also have to upload your own chapter for the book(AAR4903) at INSPERA in addition to the project(AAR4602). The folder at INSPERA will be ready for this by tomorrow, friday 22.05.2020

Information about when to pick up your belongings

Will come in next week. A schedule for all the architecture program is under developement. If you really need certain things you may be allowed to go there after applying to the course responsible(Geir). 

Reviews 15.05.2020

Reviews tomorrow, friday, start at 11:15. Remember the presentation for the upcoming mastercourses starting at 13:00. Schedule for when you can pick up your belongings is not finished. Feel free if you need to discuss anything untill then!

I have uploaded a draft of the "7 schools" at the server. Please take a look to see if everything is as it should be.

Sketch of your digital models

Please upload your 3d-model of your project at the server: 
Kurs/AAR4602/2020/3D model of conept/sketch
Your models doesn´t need to be finished in any way, they just need to convey the main ideas of your school into the context. 

Critics and final examination date

You will hand in the project digitally at the server 25.05.2020. 

You will present your work 27.05.2020, the sensor will be the norwegian architect Ola Roald.

Here is the link for todays reviews. There will also be a lecture by Birgit Cold at 12:00. I suggest we start 09.15 instead of 09:00. You can either upload the files yourself or at the server 15 minutes in advance. 

Review on Friday 17.04.2020

The review on Friday will most likley be in the morning at 09.00. At ark 6 a large BIM-modell consiting all the group-projects have been developed. We hope that as many of you can hand in your project-file formatted for archicad so that we can put your project in relation to the masterplan and the works from the 3rd year students. It would be nice to have a file this friday. Feel free to ask any questions.

Tomorrow at 10:15 i will present my master thesis, also a school. Tuesday next week at 10:15 Geir will hold an lecture about Svartlamoen Kindergarten. We will also have a lecture by Birigt Cold next week(time to come), and she will talk about schools. It will be put in the calendar.

Transfering files while using the vpn is very slow. I have therfore temporarly uploaded yesterdays presentation here. 

Hand in Thursday 19.03

We will have a weekly hand in of a presentation of your work formatted as PDF. The first hand in is Thursday 20:00 19th of march. You will present it Friday morning 20th of march. We will use the platform Blackboard Collaborate Ultra. You will be given an invitation to that soon. We will also use this platform for guiding induvidually. 

For the first hand in we would like you to discuss the following: 

The situation plan, room and function-program and conesept with pictures and sketches. It is most important to discuss is the situation in relation with the water, Dora II and the surroundings. 

Time for when you can pick up your stuff

Follow this link to see a schedule for when you can pick up stuff at the studio. Dont exceed the time! You cannot work there, only pick up your belongings. It is from tomorrow, tuesday 17.03.2020 and till friday this week to start. If you have to stay at home inside we will sort it out later. 

Project assignment

You will follow the room and function program that you have been given.

Follow the layout for U525 and B525, that means in total there will be 1050 pupils in your planned school. 

For the first review you should focus on the site and concept and show it with sketches, pictures and by drawing. Remember the connection to the water!

It is up to you if you locate sport program at the site or in neighbourging buildings/site(that is not your main assignment).

Finlandia Field Trip tuseday 03.03.2020 - saturday 07.03.2020

The field trip to Findlandia will start tuesday morning 03.03.2020 in Helsingfors and end saturday evening 07.03.2020 in Helsingfors. You will receive the program this week, but we will visit Paimio, Jyväskylä and maybe Kotka along with Helsingfors. All cities are possible to visit on a daytrip from Helsingfors. I therefore suggest we sleep in Helsingfors all nights. I will come down at the studio today at 14:00 if you want to discuss anything.

New time for Intro for the case assignment

I forgot to write on the blog that we were to meet today at 09.15, hence only a couple showed up. Therefore we will move the intro till tomorrow morning, Thursday 09.30 06.02.2020 at 311 :)

Visit of the site and exhibition on Friday 07.02.2020

We will meet at 13:00 at Skippergata 11 the firstcoming Friday 07.02.2020. Bring good enough clothes and tools so that you can register the site. We will also see the exhibition, "Dora II and beyond", from last year´s course about what Dora II can be in the future!

Form festival and field trip

An introductuion for the assignment from the form festival will be given wednesday 05.02 at 10:15 at room 313

We suggest the program of the field trip to Finlandia to start in the first week in march 02.03.2020 in Helsinki. 

School visits tuesday 11.02.2020

Tusesday next week we will visit two historical urban schools in Trondheim. We will meet at Ila School at 09.00 first, and later we meet at Singsaker at 11.00. You can read about Ila Shchool in the book i uploaded at the server "13 Schools" on beforehand.
